Please bear with us, in essence the Park itself is a large green space with trees, six covered pavilions, restrooms, and one of the largest children’s play areas on the Gulf Coast. Clearwater Beach is definitely a destination hot spot.

The Park is located at the end of the Memorial Causeway Loop and adjacent to  the 2.5 miles of white sand beach on the crystal clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico that make up Clearwater Beach. Extending out into the Gulf from the Park is the 1,070 ft Pier 60 itself.

The Pier offers benches – some are covered from the sun – and a souvenir and snack shop. It also offers excellent fishing with its own bait shop staffed with knowledgeable people who both sell and rent fishing equipment and all types of bait. A fishing license is not required to fish from the Pier. The Pier is well lit and a favorite with many for night fishing.

When day is done another group of fans gather nightly for “Sunsets at Pier 60” and enjoy the street performers, artists and craftspeople who set up shop on and around the Pier from 5:30 to 9:30 all to pay homage to another gorgeous sunset over the Gulf.

The Annual Sugar Sand Festival is another can’t miss spectacle held each Spring. (In 2022 it’s April 8th through the 24th.) See the Link below.

Buskers? You bet! What are Buskers you ask? See the link below.

As you can imagine the parking situation can get a little tight during peak visitor Seasons. See a link to all the parking lots below and we do have a couple alternative suggestions such as. . .

Park the family bus on the Clearwater side of the bridge and hop aboard The Jolley Trolley. It’s hassle free, less expensive than beach parking and you get to enjoy the ride. Prices always subject to change – see link below.

The Clearwater Ferry is another pleasant alternative to searching for a parking place at the beach. The ferries leave from Dunedin Marina and from Downtown Clearwater. They make several stops/pick-ups on the Clearwater Beach side. Currently running Fridays through Sundays and reservations must be made. See link below.

We’ll see you at the beach – Clearwater Beach – it’s waiting for you!
