The Parks in Pinellas County Florida
Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg 100 Parks in 100 Weeks! Mobbly Bayou Beach Park 805 Shore Dr E. Oldsmar Described as an “Idyllic beach area with shade!” Of all the beach areas in Pinellas County this may be one of the lesser known which makes it perfect for an afternoon of quiet relaxation. It is definitely a “toes in the water, your bottom in the sand” kind of place (though no alcohol permitted in this and most all parks in Pinellas County).

Mobbly Bayou Beach is in the City of Oldsmar just across Old Tampa Bay from Philippe Park and Safety Harbor. One of several beautiful parks in Oldsmar we will be visiting in due time on this journey.
It is a City Park and they do charge $5 per day but we think it’s very well worth it. Come early, stay late and make a day of it. You will be back. It is on the Oldsmar Trail which offers approximately twenty miles of scenic hiking and biking adventure. This long length of beach along Shore Drive offers many opportunities to set up your beach chair in the sand or among the shade trees throughout this beautifully kept park (either chair location offers beautiful views to the West). You will find picnic shelters, exercise equipment, a dog run, canoe launch & restrooms set in a well-planned, spacious, and shady park area. ________________________________________ This is only Park #6 on our path to 100. Our two year project will have us crisscrossing all over Pinellas County. All the cities have set aside much green space for locals and visitors to enjoy Nature. We are going to try and alternate cities as well as big and small parks. We hope you will enjoy this voyage of local discovery with us and visit them all yourself and discover why each is special in its own way. Your comments are always welcome.
