You will see buildings and different pieces of equipment from the early days of local Florida. All as you wind your way through a beautifully kept country setting.
Before Covid - and I am sure once again when we return to a semblance of normalcy - the Village will turn into a beehive of activity at special events throughout the year. A can’t miss example is the Country Jubilee held each Autumn. On that special Saturday everything is open and volunteers talk about and demonstrate the way things were done in early Florida. It is quite a festival with food and craft vendors from far and near. Learn about other events as well, such as Holidays at the Village, the Pinellas Folk Festival and Farm City Day by signing up to follow on the Historical Society’s page. See the link below.
Group tours will most probably be offered again in the future after Covid. Knowledgeable Docents can lead your group back through the history of the buildings and give you a sense of what life was like “way back when.” You will sometimes find school groups taking a tour during the week when you visit.
